Graveyard Keeper 2 Release Date: 22 September 2026

Graveyard Keeper 2 launches on 22 September 2026. All four official storefronts list the same day, so there is no real disagreement to resolve.

PlayStation is the only one that goes down to the hour: 22 September, 05:00 PM UTC.

One more thing worth remembering up front: the 22nd is not just launch day, it is also the last day of the 20% pre-order discount. If saving money matters, decide before that date passes.

How each storefront words it

Same date, different levels of detail.

PlayStation gives an exact time, Nintendo works backwards from the discount deadline, and Steam only gives a day count. That is a display convention, not a date conflict.

What you can already play

The free demo went live on 14 September 2026 and is playable now. Demo progress carries over to the full game.

So there is no cost to trying before you buy. Download links are on the demo and download page.

The money side is simple too: Steam drops from $24.99 to $19.99, consoles run the same discount, and PlayStation Plus members get a lower tier. The numbers are on the price and editions page.

Buy now or wait

Two rules, depending on whether you care more about money or about risk.

• Want to save money: buy before 22 September, and use the demo first to confirm your machine can run it.
• Want to be safe: play the demo first. Reviews have already reported zombies getting stuck on geometry and courier zombies refusing to deliver, so waiting for the first patch is a reasonable call.

Three steps are enough:

1. Open the store page for your platform and read the Release date field in the purchase area.
2. Check the official announcements in the Steam news hub. The 26 August 2026 post is the one that narrowed the window from “later in 2026” to 22 September.
3. Follow the official Discord and the developer’s X account (@lazybeargames).

Do not treat third-party aggregators as a source. Some of them still say “sometime in 2026”.

Still unannounced

• Steam does not give an unlock time down to the minute, only a relative day count.
• Regional prices and discount percentages differ, so the dollar figures on this page are not a global price.
• There is no post-launch roadmap, so the content cadence after release cannot be judged yet.
